Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
Absolutely. I started out as a communication major at Chapman. I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do, but I wanted to stay in the communication realm and keep my options broad.
That led me to explore some fraternities, one being Alpha Kappa Psi, which is a business fraternity at Chapman. That kind of led me down the business path of communication and got me interested in sales, which is where I am now.
When I was at Chapman, I got an internship at Paycom. I was a sales intern there for a couple weeks. That really led me to Italy, believe it or not, to go abroad and get my masters in business. I wanted to venture out of Southern California and explore a different part of the world while learning business.
Coming back home to Southern California after a year abroad, I found an opportunity with Green Street. They have a pretty close relationship with Chapman and hire a lot of Chapman students right out of college. Coming back was pretty interesting, reconnecting with a couple of other AK Psi people there and hearing their thoughts about Green Street. That led me to become an SDR here and continue that whole communication business aspect of business that finds me in this role today.
