What skills are most important for a job like yours?

To be an attorney, I think you have to be able to hold multiple thoughts in your head at once. What attracted me to being an attorney is the ability to think like a lawyer.

This means being able to say, on the one hand, on the other hand, and to anticipate the arguments that will advance your client's perspective. But also, you need to think about the vulnerabilities in your client's argument and what you would say if you were on the other side. So, being able to think like a lawyer is probably the most important thing.

Your most important job as a lawyer is to think. You've got to be able to write and speak to people. Remember that you are an officer of the court, so you're always being watched. Be respectful and be a person of good character.

I think with variabilities in writing and reading, you do well as an attorney.
