Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Please include any internships or jobs you had before your current role.
Internships and jobs were definitely a big part of my journey. While I was still in college, I held a number of internships. I also worked as a research assistant at the California Energy Commission.
When I graduated from Sac State, I became a California executive fellow. I also served clerkships, including one at the Governor's Office of Planning and Research during my second year of law school.
As an executive fellow, I was in Governor Schwarzenegger's office. While it's often seen as an internship, I found it to be a much more meaningful experience, though each internship has its own value.
Beyond those internship positions, I held a number of other roles before becoming an attorney. Prior to law school, I was at the University of California. After graduating from law school, I worked at San Francisco State.
Following that, I served as a Deputy Attorney General. Then, I moved into private practice at Best, Best & Krieger. I believe internships have been an essential ingredient to my success so far in my career.
