Biggest Challenges Faced by an Of Counsel at Best Best and Krieger
Brandon's biggest challenge as Of Counsel at Best Best & Krieger is "knowing when to say no," as the desire to help new clients and participate in interesting cases often clashes with the need to exercise "good judgment" about bandwidth and capacity. This highlights the constant balancing act in law between professional ambition and the practical limitations of time and resources.

What is your biggest challenge in your role?
Knowing when to say no is challenging. I'm bad at saying no as a matter of course. Exercising good judgment about a strategy is an adjacent challenge to always remember.
It will help you not take on too much. It can be very challenging for most attorneys because when you get a new client, you think you can handle another one.
So it's hard to remember to exercise good judgment and say no, even though you know you can solve someone's problem or participate in an interesting case. Knowing when you have the capacity or bandwidth to take on a case, or not to take it on, can be very challenging.
