How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
I would say across the industry that I'm in, creative thinkers thrive the best. It definitely depends on sort of what avenue you are in in the filmmaking industry.
I've noticed that post-production people, like myself, tend to be a little more independent, or the kind of people that don't necessarily like the hustle and bustle of being on set, like the dark room, that sort of work environment.
Whereas maybe visual effects people, who work on that aspect of the film, tend to be a little more techie and on the cutting edge of technology in more ways than, let's say, somebody who's involved in the music aspect.
The music folks tend to be super out-of-the-box thinkers and really creative problem solvers. So there are a lot of different types of people in the industry, but just out-of-the-box thinkers really, really thrive.
