What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
"Don't get hung up on the details." That's advice I've received that has really helped me. It's about ignoring the highest highs and the lowest lows.
Any given day can feel fantastic or awful, but those really cancel out in the end. What matters more is consistency.
If you're consistently doing a good job and showing up at work, or in whatever part of life is important to you, that's what matters. That's what's going to take you far.
This realization can save you from the dramatic emotional swings I used to experience. I used to get caught up in all the fantastic days and the horrible days. Just realizing you're going to have both, and as long as you're generally doing well, it's fine.
