Transcript

What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

That's a great question. When I started here about five years ago, I was brought in as a technical person to help with a project specific to our needs.

I essentially developed and matured the supporting technologies needed around our quantum processor. This includes signal delivery, wiring, and cryogenics, which are crucial for scaling up our chips.

My expertise includes cryogenics, electrical engineering, signal transmission, filtering, and microwave engineering. Since then, I've grown into what you might call mid-level management.

Now, I have a handful of reports, and my primary responsibilities involve coordinating their work, mentoring, teaching, and enabling their success. I also package their contributions into a coherent way to deliver larger projects.

Essentially, I develop people and oversee larger project efforts.
