What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
The first thing I love about being in a peer role in HCM industries is that every business in my market, the mid-market, is legally required to have payroll and other compliance services. These include offerings like Cobra or retirement plans.
It's not a matter of if they need to buy these services, but rather about staying in contact until their current vendor makes a mistake or they look to evaluate elsewhere. Then, you are there as a second option when they are looking to evaluate again.
I also love helping employers grow their business. Some business owners are really great at what they do, whether it's acting or running a rest stop, but not so great on the employee management side. It's exciting to offer solutions that will truly help businesses thrive and grow.
Additionally, you can make a lot of money in this industry and in sales in general, especially in the mid-market space. That is very motivating as well.
