Transcript

What entry-level positions in this field might an undergraduate student consider?

There are two main roles undergraduate students might consider: inside sales or outside sales. Outside sales, which I've described, offers good commission and the freedom to work as you wish, which I really enjoy. You focus on building partnerships, whether that's in payroll and human capital management, like me, or with medical devices, and so forth.

Then there's also inside sales. The difference between the two is that while the commission isn't as aggressive, it's easier to make sales. With inside sales, people call in all day, and you sell the service, trying to upsell them with additional products.

I've had friends make really good money this way, and they all work from home. This allows them to travel and work from anywhere, whether that's Mexico or Colorado. They really get to enjoy those sorts of experiences while they work every single day.
