Favorite Parts of Working in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a VP Pricing
Barrett enjoys the pharmaceutical industry most because of the direct, positive impact drugs can have on patients' lives, recalling the rewarding experience of launching an "orphan drug" and hearing firsthand how it changed the lives of patients and their families. Being able to work on drugs "that have an impact very significant on...patients and caregivers" is what Barrett finds most gratifying.

What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I am a fan of this industry. I think I was able to launch an orphan drug at Greenwich Biosciences before coming to Jazz.
An orphan drug is for a small population of patients. It's been extremely successful, and we've heard directly from patients and their parents about the drug.
It's been very rewarding to see how it can change the lives of individuals. We have several drugs like that which have a significant impact on patients and caregivers. It's been an extremely rewarding experience.
