What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As a manager, you are in charge of planning audits or performing risk assessments. This includes scheduling the audits for the year, as we have different phases that we must align with management schedules at the companies.
We also design and help implement controls for our portfolio companies. Additionally, we perform fraud examinations, which are separate internal audit projects that are not necessarily SOC-based or related to Sarbanes-Oxley.
We communicate with subsidiaries and our external auditors. So, it's a lot of communication and then executing the job, involving a lot of multitasking. In a nutshell, a lot of my work involves the areas I just mentioned.
