What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
The biggest challenge in my current role, something I was told early on by a manager, is not having to be an expert in one single category. Instead, I need to have a lot of knowledge across many different categories of the home building process.
I'm not a civil engineer, an architect, or a city council member. However, I have to know a good amount about what all those people do. This is so I can understand what they're talking about and then make decisions for the company based on what they recommend for the project.
It's definitely a challenge to constantly be an architect one day and a city planner the next. It's doable, but it's certainly a challenge.
