How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
I don't know if it's specific to marketing or business strategy. Honestly, like most professions, anyone can do this.
Anybody who's willing to work hard and learn, especially if you want to be a consultant, has to learn the ins and outs and various subcategories of marketing. I think I'll talk about that in the next question.
You also have to be willing to learn as much as you can and be great at cross-functional collaboration because you'll be working with many different people. Also, being comfortable with discomfort is a general thing.
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. I know everyone says that, but it's certainly true when you're independent and doing your own thing, your whole life can feel uncomfortable. I'd say that's something you just have to accept.
