What is one lesson that you have learned that has proved significant in your career?

It would definitely be "never stop learning" during my tenure at my previous company, even though I was working. I did my CPA simultaneously, and that led to a lot of promotions for me because I was able to understand business processes very differently.

I had an edge in terms of the way I communicate, the metrics I use to analyze my work, and all of that gave me an advantage. That gave me a bump in my career.

Even now, as I'm doing my MBA, I think it has opened a pathway that would never have been possible previously. I've switched fields into consulting, and I'm about to explore a whole new world.

That's in terms of new industry experiences, a much higher pay scale, and just a new environment altogether. That wouldn't have been possible without taking that lead to study more.
