What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
The best thing about real estate is it can be whatever you make of it. It's such a huge field, full of opportunity for different creative ways to approach it. I think that's what makes it so cool.
There are a million different strategies you can take to the business, and each one can work for whoever decides to make it work. Whether you want to do apartment buildings, retail, brokerage, or financing, or focus on one area versus another, the sheer variety and options in the industry are fascinating.
I always thought it was really cool to see how all this stuff we look at on paper becomes a physical reality. Whether you're building a property or buying an existing one, renovating it, and turning it around, it's really cool to learn about our physical environment and how that relates to investment returns and what people do with buildings. It's truly interesting.
