As someone who identifies as an international student and Asian, how has that impacted how you navigate your career?
The industry I work in is often influenced by external forces. These include things like international macroeconomic factors.
Being an international person in the US presents challenges. There are visa issues, and you often have to return to your home continent, like India. Currently, I am in eastern India.
It becomes difficult to leverage your connections and networks when you are an international student in America and have to return. However, there are opportunities to work for your business or other initiatives.
Being a native American, Britisher, or European in science and technology is often very helpful. These countries are at the forefront of science and technology. If you want to work in this sector, it's probably better to work towards a visa in one of these regions.
