What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I'm constantly surrounded by intelligent and talented people. This always awes me, and that's what has always appealed to me about the legal field.
Now that I'm in it, I can pinpoint where I'd like to be based on the people I'm surrounded by. That's the industry on the legal side of things.
In the type of law that I practice, which is corporate and business law, anything from emerging enterprises and startups to more established companies, I'm also thrown into an environment of people who are taking risks all the time. They are definitely less risk-averse than I am.
It's interesting to see that, and I love to watch because I don't think I could ever do it myself. So, being on the sidelines as they accomplish so many things in their businesses and endeavors, but also being able to maybe help manage them on the legal side, I think that's pretty cool.
