Transcript

What does a day in the life of an attorney look like?

First and foremost, emails are a huge part of my day. I constantly have one eye and one ear towards my inbox to make sure anything that comes in has been glanced at and processed. If it needs to go on my to-do list, it's there, or if I need to respond right away, I do so.

I'm constantly checking emails. Speaking of to-do lists, I try to capture the day on paper to figure out what takes priority over other tasks. Then, I just go for it.

A lot of it is working on the task and keeping track of time. This is so we can bill our clients properly and accurately.

There's also conferring internally with partners and senior counsel to make sure I'm on the right track. It also allows me to jump on something else if needed.

As I've mentioned, it's all about researching, reading, writing, and analyzing. The goal is finding the best response to an issue or question that's been raised.
