Transcript

As someone who identifies as a female minority, how has that impacted the way you navigate your career, especially in a male-dominated industry?

It's a very interesting question. I would say the biggest thing is to find your personal board of directors. This sounds really interesting, but I took it to heart.

It's not necessarily mentors, but people who will help support you and also uplift you whenever you feel like you're not good enough. This could be co-workers, friends, bosses, mentors, or even people who might be your employees one day.

Ultimately, you just need to find a group of people you can talk to who can give you advice. This could be someone who knows nothing about your industry or someone who works in it. You just want a holistic view of people who can always support you and be by your side.

With that, I was able to move forward with my career. Because of it, I never felt that being Asian, a minority, or female has ever impacted the way my career has progressed.
