Transcript
What did you do in undergrad that set you up for success in your career?
For me, I used all the resources available to me from Penn. They had career counselors, resume building, and interview prep. I utilized everything that gave me an advantage over the competition.
Attend every career fair you can and treat them like a job interview. Dress to impress and be sure to bring copies of your resume.
Also, be open to anything, especially if you are trying to change careers. Since I was going from medical to marketing, I really had to be open to trying whatever came my way. I applied for everything and wasn't picky.
Ultimately, at this age, employers know you don't have a lot of experience. They are looking for people with the determination and grit to move forward and learn as much as possible. Never act like you know everything, even from your internship days, because there is always more to learn. Humility goes a very long way.
