What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
The thing I like most about the construction industry is seeing things get built. Even though we're not the ones physically constructing, that's our field. I've mentioned it before, but watching things come to life has always drawn me to this industry.
My grandpa was a residential contractor who built houses. He was also a golf professional and often tinkered with golf clubs in his garage. Seeing him build things was really cool.
You can do a lot on the computer all day, but for me, the exciting part is seeing structures go up. It's amazing to see a piece of land with nothing on it develop into something useful. I think that's the best part of the industry, and it's a common sentiment.
Also, the people in the industry are very knowledgeable, and you can learn a lot easily if you're willing to.
