What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
It's hard to do when you're young and just starting out without much experience. But if you could identify early on the area you really want to go into, your niche, and specialize in that niche quickly, you could be ahead of everyone.
Most people don't identify that area until later in their career. If you can find that area and stick with it, you can advance really quickly. That's basically our industry, and I would say almost all industries are headed that way.
This involves buying your niche, your specialization, and being hyper-specialized as opposed to being a generalist or not having knowledge in one particular area. Doing that is definitely an advantage.
