What did you do in your undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
I would say what most people did versus what I did. I didn't have internship experience, so I took the backend route, which was scouring LinkedIn. That is all I did 24/7.
I continually followed up with people via email or LinkedIn, finding alumni in the field I wanted to get into. I felt like that immediately gave me an edge, like we share a mascot and a school. This made me wonder how I could get them to want to help me.
Again, I just didn't realize at the time how important internships were, or else I would have started looking into that. But for me, I have to say, and I hope it's still relevant, LinkedIn or Instagram or finding people online and just making yourself personable to them.
