What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I work for a nonprofit that is fairly entrepreneurial in nature. Initially, we focused on the K-12 space, which is where I spent most of my career.
We've now extended into inclusive economic development and workforce. My role includes working extensively with different demographic partners and regional coalitions on the ground. These groups are trying to implement visionary, equity-centered economic development.
I also lead a team in technical assistance and philanthropic matchmaking. My day-to-day varies. I have internal calls, do some writing, and participate in webinars.
I speak with partners and incredible leaders in communities across the country. I also engage with federal policymakers to identify connections between our work on the ground and best practices that can be applied in new areas.
