As someone who identifies as a woman, how has that impacted how you've navigated your career?
In orthopedics, I work in a very male-dominated industry. I think as a woman, it's important to find other women to connect with.
These women can act as mentors or even just as friends. This allows you to share experiences, give advice on overcoming challenges, and things like that.
But I also think it's really important to pay that forward. Make sure you're taking in other women and mentoring them or giving them feedback and advice.
I believe we have to look out for each other, especially if you're considered a minority in your industry.
