What entry-level positions in this field might an undergraduate college student consider?
To get into a product manager or marketing role, entry-level positions I think start at assistant marketing manager. The next level from there is an associate marketing manager.
In those kinds of roles, you generally have a little less responsibility. You might not be fully managing a product, but you're supporting someone else. Or, you could be playing more of a support role on the team. You might potentially manage a smaller product or an instrument.
On the sales side, there's a program called the Sales Training Representative Program. You can start by supporting the sales training program we have. If you're interested in an education or training role, you gain experience there.
After a year in that program, you graduate into a sales representative role. A medical device representative role can be a hard industry to get into, so this is a good way to break in.
