What are your main responsibilities within your role?
Financial reporting can be pretty broad. I think the best way to explain my role is that you have to understand industry and company-specific requirements from different regulatory bodies. This allows financial statements that are useful to various stakeholders to be produced.
To do that, there's a lot of collaboration, judgmental assessment, and technical expertise required on a consistent basis.
