What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

My current role is Global Supply Manager at Relativity Space. My main responsibilities include ensuring we have the correct parts on order, negotiating with suppliers, and finding cost savings wherever possible.

I also focus on identifying the right supplier partners who can produce our designs without quality issues and deliver on time. It's important they are also easy to work with, both commercially and technically.

We welcome supplier feedback on our designs and translate it to engineering to improve manufacturability. This results in lower costs for producing parts and easier manufacturing if we need to make them in-house or for rush jobs. We want to ensure all parts are manufacturable by anyone.

Overall, my responsibilities include ensuring supplies are ordered and received on time, that they are the correct parts, and developing our supply base. We aim to set our suppliers up for success, as we know we will grow with them over time.

As we launch more each year, we'll need more parts. Therefore, setting up suppliers for success with good designs, strong partnerships, and clear communication channels is crucial. We respond quickly to any issues, whether technical or commercial.

Ultimately, my responsibilities involve ensuring we get the correct, high-quality parts at a good price.
