What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I think I enjoy our end products the best, along with the competitiveness of our industry. The rocket launch industry in general is small, very competitive, and always rushing to see who will have the coolest or best launch.
There are only a few players. I can't name them all, but there's SpaceX, Rocket Lab, Firefly, Relativity Space, ULA, and Blue Origin, to name a few. So there aren't many players in the field, which makes the competitive aspect really fun. Everyone is healthy and competitive with each other.
But I think the greatest thing about our industry is the untapped potential. In the last 70 years, humans have only made it as far as the moon. We've only launched satellites and such within our solar system.
It's really cool to see what will come out of these aerospace companies as more rockets launch and more things can get into space in a quicker timeframe. It's going to be extremely exciting, and I think that's what I enjoy the most. It’s the open potential and excitement everyone has to get to Mars and beyond.
