What did you enjoy most about being in your industry?

One thing is it's a great starting gig to remain a generalist in the business world. You don't have to make any commitments to a specific role or industry; you get to shop around.

Each project is its own appetizer. If you want to do a project in technology, you can talk to the right people in the company and end up on a role there. You can do that for four to six months, then decide you're ready for something new and move to financial services.

The ability to choose is advantageous, especially for early career professionals. I think that's what I enjoyed the most. I'm trying to refrain from saying compensation because that's the obvious thing.

From a substantive point of view, consulting is great in terms of the ability to learn rapidly from different industries and roles.
