What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
What drove me to structural engineering was just buildings. I love different types of buildings.
You can mass produce buildings, and they are trying to do that more and more these days, but there's always going to be something unique about a building. That's what I love most about it.
I love designing and seeing it come to life after you design it, do the calculations, and realize it actually works. It comes to life and it's actually standing up. It's very rewarding to be able to go around and say, "I worked on that building."
I think that's still the most rewarding aspect of my job today. Another thing is the relationships that you build during your career. I really love that too.
I love the people aspect of it and getting to build relationships and work together with other people in the field, and other disciplines as well.
