What skills are most important for a job like yours?

Working in strategic partnerships requires a lot of relationship building and networking skills. You have to be confident in your ability to spark conversations with people you don't know and express yourself effectively.

It's a role that's heavily focused on schmoozing, talking to people, and clearly articulating your needs. It's very extroverted, so you have to enjoy being around others.

I've seen colleagues leave the field because of burnout, as they didn't enjoy being that extroverted personality type. It really is a personality type that requires enjoying casual conversation.

As I mentioned previously, I'm on calls all day. A few times a week, I also attend work events like dinners or happy hours where I have to talk more about work.

Therefore, it's crucial to be able to connect the dots and be a good networker in strategic partnerships.
