What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
The biggest challenge in my role is that there's always more I can be doing. It's hard to shut off at times because the amount of work is constant. It's not like working on a specific project with an end goal; there are always more emails to answer, messages to send, and prospecting to do.
I can always be attending more events, and there's an endless amount of work to be done. However, you have to know when to shut off and take time for yourself to recharge. In my industry, and in many jobs across different fields, burnout is a significant issue.
Burnout comes from working a lot without taking breaks or caring for yourself. It's important to step back and appreciate that you have a job you like. Taking time for yourself is really important.
Knowing when to take that time is probably the biggest challenge. I also see it as a great opportunity. There's always more I can do, and endless opportunity for me to succeed and prove my worth and capability in my role. It's a double-edged sword, but it's very important to take a break, no matter your role or industry.
