What is your biggest challenge in your current role?

"Absolutely. Great question. The biggest challenge is one, making sure that the team is all working and functioning together. I think as you move up into management, it doesn't come as much about the work that you do on a day-to-day basis, but it is about the team's work.

The team doing everything and making sure that that team is all bought in on the vision that you're creating. So, I think one of the hardest things is to continuously iterate and create the lines of communication to the team so everyone feels they're moving in the same direction, especially in a remote work culture that we live in today.

Sometimes people can feel like that vision is starting to become blurred. So, for us, I think always making sure that the North Star, as I'll call it, is always very clear and communicated on how we get there with the teams is very hard to get that alignment.

If someone kind of strays, getting them back onto the team and making sure that everyone is always moving in that direction is very hard. I think we often struggle with just the amount of time and energy.

Being a founder or being in a startup culture, or hitting a growth phase, is [unclear]. Where I work, as a publicly traded company, every single quarter, we have an obligation to our investors to do well. That pressure drives a lot of stress and anxiety. Learning how to cope with that, learning how to manage that, and being able to execute your job well is very difficult as well."
