Career Path Of A Sales And Customer Experience Coordinator At Laduree
Taylor's career path began with three internships during college, all focused on social media content creation for fashion companies, including a sustainable brand and a vintage wholesale warehouse; however, "realized quickly that's not what [they] wanna be doing," which led to a pivot after graduation. After an eight-to-nine-month job search, Taylor landed the role of Sales and Customer Experience Coordinator at Ladurée in the US, a position that represents a departure from the social media-centric work that defined earlier experiences.

Could you walk me through your career path? I'd like to start with your experiences in college. Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
In college, I had three different internships. My first was as a social media content intern for a sustainable fashion company. That was a good experience, helping me get used to working and managing school responsibilities. I began to understand the marketing space of social media and apply what I learned in school.
I then moved on to another marketing internship with a different fashion company during my sophomore or junior year. That was also fun, still in the social media space, where I handled a lot of their social media work and content creation. That was primarily the focus of that experience.
My last internship, in my senior year, was my longest, lasting about eight months. I worked at a vintage wholesale warehouse as their social media and e-commerce intern. I managed their website updates and social media content.
While social media is a primary marketing tool these days, I quickly realized creating social media content wasn't what I wanted to do long-term. After college, I knew I wanted to pivot towards regular marketing or jump into something new, as I was tired of creating social media content. I have a lot of respect for those who do it, as it's hard work and requires a lot of enthusiasm.
It took about eight or nine months after graduating to find a job, but I've landed here. I am now the Sales Head Customer Experience Coordinator at Lare in the US. So far, it's been great.
