What skills are most important for job bikers?
Communication is definitely key. Being able to communicate effectively and tailor to the different needs and interests of a wide range of constituents is really important. Using accessible tools and resources to maintain these relationships and collect data on current industry and student trends is critical in making sure we serve these populations as best we can.
It's also important to stay organized and maintain structure. Preparation for any changes that occur throughout the day, and being able to optimize those resources, is crucial.
Being prompt and staying on top of emails is important because many things can pile up. This is especially true in a university environment with so many different constituents. It's easy to forget things, so making sure you have a planner is helpful.
Tailoring things that fit your personality and work style is also really important. Understanding yourself, how you work, and what works best for you is key.
Taking breaks and not overwhelming yourself, and not being on autopilot, can prevent exhaustion. Remembering the reason you're there and what you're passionate about can help keep you motivated throughout the day.
