What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might want to consider?

For me, the most important part is to focus on communications. If this is your goal, I would say a student ambassador on campus is a great opportunity. You're going to be working with people, interacting with them, and learning how different people communicate.

Another option is social media marketing or being a content creator. It's not hard to grab your phone and make a cool little video. There are tons of apps out there to help you do it. This gets you more comfortable with using social media and checking out current trends.

Blogging is also a great option because everyone needs blogs written. If you can learn how to write a blog, you can learn how to write an email or website copy. It really gets your foot in the door.

Finally, anything in the office admin or operations realm will also teach you about communication. It'll teach you how to organize and give you more of the business side of things. Even if you're not leading meetings, you'll get a look inside and see what it's like.
