What does the date in the life of a Recruitment Communications Manager look like?
I think it's really interesting because no two days really look the same. Generally, I might start off with a quick check-in with my manager.
It's a touch base to see what I'm working on, anything that needs prioritizing, or anything that's come up recently. From there, I might look at our communications calendar.
This is where I organize all the emails we're sending, our social media posts, and any newsletters that are going out. I look at upcoming deadlines and then backwards plan, which is something we do a lot of here. My manager has made it a point to train all of us on how to do this very well and thoroughly.
We'll take whatever deadline we have and figure out in reverse how we're going to attain our goals by that point. After some planning on the calendar, I might do a social media post or plan out for next week. This involves writing all the copy, finding pictures, and tracking down any assets we have.
Then, I might check out our referrals. During our summer hiring time, we have a lot more support with anything that might be needed there. I might end my day responding to some previous outreach, answering any questions people might have about our rules.
