What are the most important skills to your job?
When I think about the skills most important to my job, I'd say number one is communication. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively is very important because I'm dealing with many stakeholders from different backgrounds and cultures. Ensuring I communicate effectively is critical.
In addition, I'd say listening is key. I'm a senior leader, and I need to be able to listen to my team members, to their concerns and problems. Problems don't get solved unless you listen effectively. So, those are the two key skills for someone in my role.
