As an immigrant and woman of color, stepping out of my comfort zone and speaking up has resonated with me. I've seen the growing importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. People truly value different perspectives.
My comfort in speaking up has increased since my internship. I also attribute my strong work ethic, instilled from my immigrant background, to my ability to get involved from the start of my undergraduate studies. This has allowed me to participate in career fairs and internships, enabling me to reach my current position without financial dependence or relying on others for job opportunities.
