How would you typically describe someone who would thrive in this industry?

In our industry and my role, people who can multitask and thrive in high-pressure situations are essential. With Workday consulting and resource management, fires will pop up.

Within any consulting firm, you'll face issues with clients and resources. For example, clients may only want to work with people in France. We then have to figure out how to staff their project based on their specific requests.

There will always be small things and emergencies that need to be addressed quickly. Being able to multitask and work with different groups simultaneously is key to addressing these issues. Prioritizing what's necessary and what needs attention first is also important, especially when dealing with the high-pressure aspect.

Secondly, you're working with people. In a resource management role, you need to be comfortable working with others. This is not a number-crunching or siloed job where you just focus on your own work without collaboration.

This role requires full collaboration. You need to work in a team environment and be able to work with different personality types and people. This includes overcoming barriers that might arise from working with those who don't see things the same way you do, and collaborating effectively.

Finally, people who enjoy creative problem-solving would likely thrive in this role and industry. As I mentioned, we are constantly solving issues. We're essentially the problem-solving hub within the company.

Any problems that arise, whether related to a project, a client, or sales needs, fall to us. We are always the ones solving these problems, gathering information, figuring out solutions, and ensuring they work for the most people possible.
