What sort of skills are most important for a job like yours?

The most important skill is definitely written and verbal communication. I'm constantly writing emails and talking between teams, which requires concise and accurate communication. You're talking between different groups, like salespeople and accounting.

You have to be able to take information from one team and translate it so it's understandable and useful to another team, and vice versa. So, definitely communication skills, writing and verbal.

Secondary would be organization skills. I mentioned we work with 20 different teams at once, and they all have their own needs and wants. Everybody needs something.

So, organizing and prioritizing incoming requests is key. You have to make sure to address them appropriately, revisit things later on, and not forget about a request or question.

Organization and keeping track of a million different things going on in a giant company are important. You need to be able to speak on them at any point and ensure everyone who needs to be in the loop is.
