What are some of the main responsibilities within your current role?
In my role, I am the resource manager for our US and Canada Workday digital practice. I am responsible for overseeing and facilitating the staffing of all our US and Canada consultants across all of our US Academy projects.
Workday is HR software that we work with. Clients purchase Workday and then need a partner to help them implement it in their company. We have around 200 to 300 consultants who do that actual implementation work, working alongside the client.
I'm on the internal side, managing at a high level all of our projects and ensuring they are staffed correctly. I make sure they have the resources needed for what's in scope for each project.
I also work with resource managers in other countries. We have teams in France, Germany, India, and Poland. I collaborate with those resource managers to do international staffing when projects require international consultants to work on different pieces of the project.
Additionally, I support our project managers who are working with clients. I help them keep track of the hours available for each consultant, forecasting, and budgets within our project management tool, which is called ServiceNow. I assist them with any related tasks.
That pretty much encompasses the main points of what I do.
