How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
I would say people who are curious and driven are two characteristics that come to mind. When I first joined this company, I noticed right away that people were very driven and had a lot of knowledge and genuine expertise.
This was true whether they were really good at their job or they just had high emotional intelligence and liked working with people. So, I'd say that is almost more important because you want to be able to work well with others and collaborate with different teams.
If I were to define emotional intelligence, I'd say it involves characteristics like being self-aware, having an inherent drive to ask questions, or continuously learning from other people. Being able to apply those skills in a job is very important because you can work well, ensure tasks are done effectively, and also help the people around you work better.
