What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
In my current role, I have about three main responsibilities. One is a lot of project management.
I work with a variety of team members, including our design, content, and development teams. I'm tracking projects over the course of a quarter or month.
The second responsibility is data analysis. I'm essentially the website marketing lead. I track user behavior on the website, like time spent on pages, clicks from the homepage to product pages, and form submissions.
Analyzing user behavior helps my team determine what to work on next. If a page design is successful based on user reactions, we'll keep it. Otherwise, we might redesign or rephrase the copy.
The third part of my job involves a lot of communication between different teams. I really enjoy this aspect of my marketing role because I don't feel siloed.
I work with people from a huge variety of backgrounds, not just other marketers. I can easily learn from them because they have different skills and knowledge.
It's helpful to continuously learn from experts and apply that to my job. I've definitely changed the way I work over the past few years by adapting based on the knowledge I gain from others.
