What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

My current industry is FinTech. Specifically, my company. What attracted me to the company is that we help people in underserved communities. We help them get better access to financial tools.

This is something that I find fulfilling, especially after working in the computer software industry. While that field still helps people, it generally serves big businesses on a higher level. I really like FinTech and my current role because I feel like I am helping my company achieve its mission and making a greater impact.

When I think about the end user of my marketing work, I picture individuals who have faced many barriers. These barriers might prevent them from achieving goals like owning a home or being accepted for a bank loan. I can empathize with this end user, rather than feeling disconnected as I did with computer software. This empathy drives me in my work.
