What does a day in the life of a senior account manager look like?
It's different every day. You never know what you're going to walk into with work events. A lot of things happen over the weekend, so Mondays are especially busy.
We had the Masters, the US Open, and the Kentucky Derby going on. Essentially, it's about making sure your day is going as planned and that any data collected over the weekend or during the week is gathered accurately.
You're checking reporting to make sure you're seeing the right numbers so clients can get access to what they need for presenting to their clients or agencies. You also handle any questions that come through to help agencies or clients with their reporting.
A lot of it involves making sure data transfers are running smoothly and that email campaigns are running smoothly. On top of that, you're managing your production, QA, and R&D teams to ensure anything in the pipeline is created on time.
Again, if any events have completed, you're working on your reporting. You're managing all your teams throughout different aspects of different clients and making sure your clients are happy.
There are a lot of different activities happening in one specific day, but typically every day is different because you really just don't know what type of events are happening and what issues may occur. We are a tech company, so tech problems happen.
Even big ones, like Google, can have a problem that will affect us. Essentially, anything can really just happen in a day. Your service could turn off and not reactivate.
So, it's managing client expectations on how to resolve issues and all that. But again, everything is really just different every single day, which is great, which is why I kind of like the job.
