What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergrad or graduate student might consider to get into your role someday?

"Skin, what entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergrad or graduate student might consider to get into your role someday?"

"I think there's a very direct way to do it. You could consider my role somewhat in the lines of medical sales. With clinical business development, there are many more aspects. Your biggest job is to create relationships with healthcare partners who will keep feeding your business and you can keep feeding theirs. Relationship building is a big aspect."

"If you want to get into a medical sales career, there are so many opportunities for entry-level folks. They're looking for someone with a fresh slate and a fresh mind that you can really train and coach. From those roles, you will start to develop skills like networking, which is huge in any industry. You should be able to network and practice relationship management."

"This also sets your business up for retention. Regarding technical learning with medical sales, most of the time, if you're in a role where you have a device you're selling, it's probably for a disease state you have to know a lot about. How can you sell to doctors if you don't know what you're talking about?"

"Being able to develop and master that rapid learning skill of something technical is a marketable skill for the future. Even if you want to switch medical specialties in a sales role, you have to be able to demonstrate that. Even if all your expertise is in wound care, but you want to go into gynecology, you can show that within one month you'll be able to fully communicate your product and even come up with better ways to communicate it."
