What do you enjoy most about being in the education industry?
I think people who are passionate and want to see students succeed benefit from being around curious peers. Being with teachers who are curious about why and how we learn is really stimulating.
It’s exciting to be around people who are enthusiastic about that. So, going into the teacher's lounge, you might think it's just a place where teachers talk about things.
We get excited talking about a great lesson or activity, a moment when learning clicked with a child, or something that worked really well. We also figure out things that didn't work well.
So, just collaborating with your peers, I think that probably is the most exciting thing about the education industry. It's working with like-minded people who are passionate.
