What are some of the biggest challenges that come with being a teacher?

The obvious challenge is student behavior in the classroom. Unexpected student actions require flexibility.

However, I could live with that and actually enjoyed it at times. The biggest challenge that frustrated me were administrators who weren't as involved in the classroom as they could have been and should have been.

They may have been out of touch. Administrators that are out of touch can be a challenge.

Parents are a whole other beast. They can be your biggest ally and supportive. I had many wonderful parents.

I also had a couple that were tough. Figuring out how to get parents to understand you're on the same team and truly want the best for their child can be a big challenge.
